Congratulations to Susan Budd – Our winner!  She said:

“Oh, I LOVE these! It’s like being able to build your own lunchables in a reusable container! For some reason, kids think lunchables are great, but putting stuff in baggies or separate containers just doesn’t get the same response. I love that the end result is not a bunch of crazy containers in the dishwasher with tiny lids falling through the racks and melting on the bottom. I love that these bags will hold the container AND just about anything else you would want with your meal. It’s hard to find lunch boxes just that right size. I would love an aqua one! Truth is, I could use all five colors for my five kids! ;-)

Thank you to all who entered.  This contest is now closed.

It’s that time of year – when we are getting our kids ready for back to school!  Along with the basic school supplies, generally an item on your buying list is a kid’s lunch box for each child.  This year, especially, I have seen sooo many choices in this department!  There are lots of choices, but they are not always within everyone’s budget – especially when you are also paying for clothes, pencils, backpacks and school registration – it adds up fast doesn’t it?  Especially if you have several kiddo’s to buy for.  (like me!)

Recently www.EasyLunchBoxes.com contacted me about reviewing their product.  We actually already had a couple lunch boxes from other companies, but I told them to go ahead and send them along – as we can always use lunch boxes it seems!  Well…. I am happy to say I LOVE this system!  (and I am pretty sure you are going to LOVE it too! – it is extremely affordable and easy to use!)

The idea of www.EasyLunchBoxes.com was born out of Kelly Lester’s response to unhealthy school lunch programs.  It was her desire (and mine…) to send her 3 kids to school with a nutritious meal, using little to no wasteful packaging. But the Easy Lunchbox System is not just for kids. Adult size meals fit perfectly too.

The Easy Lunchbox System’s design, functionality, and low price has quickly made it  a top choice among green lunch box solutions since it came on the market in December, 2009.

Kelly says,  “I was like other frustrated moms – I didn’t like throwing together lunches during the morning rush. So much time was wasted sorting through a cabinet of mismatched food containers while trying to pack 15-25 well-balanced lunches per week. I struggled to find something that would help me pack lunches fast, without resorting to the ‘convenience’ of expensive, pre-packaged ‘fast-food.’ Most importantly, I wanted something attractive, eco-friendly, and made of food-safe materials that I didn’t have to wash by hand.

My clever solution to the lunch-packing chore is the simple two piece EasyLunchbox container:

The bottom has three compartments to hold an entree or sandwich and two side dishes. The fitted lid (which comes in 4 colors) covers all three compartments at once. No more squished sandwiches, mismatched plastic container pieces to keep track of (matching up all those bottoms and lids was the thing that drove me nuts!) or wasteful baggies. Fits perfectly inside the roomy EasyLunchbox custom carrying bag. 963461855_CYxuG-Th And there is still plenty of room to throw in an extra snack or two, whole fruit, perhaps a thermos of soup, drink and ice block.  Flexibility is key, and since so many different things can fit, no matter what menu you choose to include, it packs easily and quickly. It’s amazing how much faster, greener, & easier lunch box packing is with the EasyLunchbox system.”

Supporting the waste-free lunch movement, EasyLunchBoxes.com offers a reusable, superior solution at a much lower price than other companies. (only $13.95 for FOUR Containers, and $7.95 for a Carrying Bag)  Great for large families and those on a limited budget.

The containers are FDA approved. No BPA, phthalates, lead, vinyl, or PVC. Safe for dishwasher, freezer, and microwave.

The simple chic design and bright colors of their Cooler Bags can even be personalized! They have included a sturdy grommet in the carrying handle so you can easily attach a pretty key ring, dietary restrictions warning tag, or your choice of any type of handcrafted or store bought “flair.”   The Cooler Bags are made of the highest quality 300D Polyester for premium durability and toughness. Vinyl free (PVC free) & lead free, with an FDA compliant PEVA lining.

Win One!
Okay, so now that I am done talking them up…. would you like one?  Yeah, I thought so!  Here’s the scoop.  Head over to www.EasyLunchBoxes.com and leave in the comments something you have learned & like about their products, along with which carrying bag color you would pick.  That’s it!  pretty easy right?  Then, I will randomly pick a winner on Aug. 17th.

The details:
Open to U.S. & Canadian residents only.  If you have won an EasyLunchBox product within the past 3 months you are not eligible.  You must include the two things requested above in your comment in order to be included in the drawing.  One entry per person.

Being a mom of 6 kids, I think this is a great idea! Finally another mom put together a product all us other moms have been looking for! I’ve bought many different lunch/sandwich/ snack containers and none of them quite fit in their lunch bags. Plus I always seemed to be missing a lid or bottom somewhere. The coloured lids are a bonus since each of my kids seemed to liked a different colour. Thank you Kelly Lester!

  2. Sarah says:

I get tired of a punch of different plastic containers to take my lunch in daily. I usually give up and end up buying the lunch with cost $$$$. These would help me greatly! Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I love how they nest inside each other! The black cooler bag would be awesome to have! Thanks! ;)

  4. Lori D in OK says:

I have never seen these before, they are SUPER COOL! I know most people would be using these for their kiddos but I would use them for my hubby to take his lunch to work. What I like the most is the divided sections that won’t allow food to go to another divider. And the fact that there are several containers would work really well for us so I can send him lunch each day and wash them in between etc. We homeschool our 6 children so sending my hubby with lunch helps us financially! I think he would like the Black cooler bag because he works in a Machine Shop and it would just get dirty! What a COOL giveaway!!!!!

  5. Susan says:

I learned that they are dishwasher and microwave safe!
I like that the containers have dividers…

  6. Beth says:

I like that they are BPA-free and the sections are perfect. I would like the green carrying bag.

  7. Tracey says:

These are awesome! Making food fun really does encourage kids to eat a greater variety of foods. I am a homeschooling mom, and even though my kids don’t leave the house for lunch, I would like to pack their lunches in these boxes so they could quickly grab them and save time on lunch prep a few days a week. I read to them while they eat, and less prep time means more reading time! For those times we need to go to music lessons, or have a long day at church, these handy boxes/bags would save us so much on eating out! A little preparation goes a long way. Bravo. (P.S. I love that they are dishwasher safe!)

  8. Marie says:

Just in time for school. Thanks so much for posting. My son picked black and my daughter picked aqua. They are excited for their new lunch boxes!

  9. Brianne says:

I love the idea of these green containers/lunch bags. I am always looking for healthier & more convenient ways to feed my 4 kids. As a homeschool mom who also takes her kids to her part-time job, lunches have often been a headache for me. I would love to have an olive bag for our first purchase and could color coordinate the containers – each child would have a color. The size of the bag, it’s versatility, and the fact that it is BPA (etc.) free has me sold!

  10. Tara Fairchild says:

My son Jared who will start Kindergarten this year, would love the green bag. I love the fact that this system is one container with 3 compartments for storing the food and room in the bag for extra lunch type stuff. Glad it’s also lead and BPA free. Also like the fact you can put a keyring on it with name or other decorations. Thank you to The Menu Mom Christine for reviewing this system and sending me over here.
    Tara

  11. melanie kurz says:

I love that they have different color lids and I loved all the different lunch ideas that they show. I would love a black cooler bag.

  12. Angel Wolf says:

These are super containers, I love them because you can pack 4 lunches at once thereby cutting down on time! I love the green on best, looks eco friendly :) Being a Bento Box affectionado and watching calories makes these all the more functional besides being cute.

  13. Kristin says:

Wow, I’m sold! I’ve been looking for a system for packing lunches that isn’t wasteful (too many ziplock baggies around here), and this one wins, hands down (I mean, BPA-free and dishwasher-safe? Fuggedaboutit!) It’s the perfect size for my 2nd grader, too — plus she can tell everyone she’s saving the planet! Thanks for the giveaway (oh, and since there’s no pink carrying case, we’d love a purple one, if we win… :0)

  14. Kandy says:

I LOVE this idea! When my son packs his lunch he usually eats hardly anything as it is in so many containers or baggies. It takes too much time. With this he would open one lid and have it all! I also like that there is extra room for his drink ice block and maybe a treat. I think this is fantasic as well as great for the invironment. I definately want to get some of these lunch boxes! If I win my son likes the blue bag best. Thanks so much for a perfect lunchbox!

  15. Leslie says:

I would love the black case. I have twin teenage girls who would love to carry this to school. The fact that it is BPA free is a bonus for me too!

  16. Karen says:

This system is awesome! I love that it is BPA free and dishwasher safe is what we need. I would love to win the purple one for my baby who is starting kindergarten this year! Thank you!

  17. Sarah says:

I love that a little preschool aged kid doesn’t have a problem opening this! I love the aqua bag!

  18. Zan says:

Wow…Love all the lunch ideas on this sight…the pictures of everything in the easy boxes was really cool.

Love how quick and easy it looks to pack several lunches with 5 kids that means a lot.
I have done a Bento style lunch for the kids for the last couple years…this makes it look so much easier….and the roominess of the bag is a major plus. Loved the idea of putting a soup thermos in with as an extra.

Great sight and product thank you.
I love the color of the Turquoise (blue) bag.

  19. Liz macias says:

OMG! I am going to buy this for my daughter. I pack her lunch everyday. I hate looking for lids to diffrent containers. Her favorite color is purple. I can’t wait for her to see it. Thanks!

  20. Elizabeth says:

Love that these containers all stack in one another so you can fit them easily on a shelf and that they are BPA free & dishwasher safe. We would love to try these out at our house! I would actually pick any color, but love the red one for my son!

  21. Stacy Kinman says:

I love the divided containers…my kids hate it when “the food is touching!!” And bye-bye to the TONS of sandwich bags I purchase. I would love the black one.

  22. Cassie says:

Love them! BPA free is a big selling point for our family and I especially love that the main meal plus two sides fit in the container, what a great idea. The REd bag is super cute too :)

Thanks for offering such an awesome give-away!

  23. Rita says:

Love the convenience of them and the fact that they are environmental friendly–no more plastic sandwich bags to buy!!! Would love them in black..Thanks

  24. Noelle says:

LOVE it! I have 6 kids and a husband carrying a lunch. We could really put this system to good use!

  25. Kymberly says:

This would be such a life saver. After having home schooled my children for the past 3 years, my son will be going back to school this year, as a high schooler no less. We have been trying to get everything ready & just this morning I was thinking about the lunch box situation. These are wonderful! Green is his favorite color & it looks like this whole system would make it SO much easier to take along a healthy variety for lunch! Even though he is excited to be going back to school, I’ve been having some trouble adjusting. This could help me be concerned about one less thing! Thank you for offering us the opportunity!

  26. Vicki says:

After 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, I’m venturing out of the house to work in our family business. I’ve looked unsuccessfully for a “grown up” lunchbox, this product looks perfect. I especially like the purple bag. I also love the fact that the containers and lids stack for easy storage.

  27. Nicole says:

What I have learned from you is that there is an simple and inexpensive healthy way for making my kids lunch. I also learned the trick about how to leak proof your container. Great Tip. No more searching for the right size container and then finding the lid that goes with that container. The are stackable so when not in use thet fit nicely in the cupboard. Colour Coded so everyone knows which lunch is whose. I cannot tell you how glad I am to have found your system. I am on the parent council at my kids school and we are trying to get the parents to go litterless, the number 1 complaint is the container nightmare, will definately be mentioning your system at the open house. Thanks so much for having such an affordable system out there, oh ya I think the purple is just so cute.

  28. Rheiko says:

I think this is a great idea for convenient lunch packing. I love the fact that the container has divided sections, and that it will fit inside of the lunch bag. I could use one for myself because I just returned to work a month ago after being a stay-at-home Mom for the last 5yrs. I would like the green lunch bag.

  29. Julie Banton says:

There are so many things to love about this system! The nesting containers, the money saved, etc. But I think what I like best is how the lid is shaped to actually fit around the individual compartments! I have never seen one like it. I would love to have the dark red cooler bag if I am chosen. Thanks!

  30. Kristina Dowty says:

I like everything in one container and not several containers. They nest, and are dishwasher save!! 3 kids – this would be awesome!! Our school colors are orange and black; so orange would be perfect!

  31. manda says:

I learned that they are dishwasher safe, and I would pick black.

  32. Amy says:

I love the fact that it is self-contained and it fits inside a lunch bag (even if it was designed for the container). It looks like it would fit other lunch bags pretty well also. I can’t tell you how many times I have to cram several little containers into one lunch box! I’m lucky if it still zips closed. Great idea!!! We love the red (matches school colors)!!!

  33. ~Shannon~ says:

I like that “They’re BPA-free, SAFE and environmentally friendly, too!” These will make it easy to go to litter free lunches!

  34. Judy says:

I am very interested in this system as I have 3 children who regularly pack their lunches for school and the different size containers for different items are such a hassel!! And I LOVE the fact that these are BPA free as I have been trying to get away from plastic but it’s so hard to do with children.
