Bacon Cheese Pull-aparts
I’m a huge fan of breakfast food (especially bacon!!), but I don’t really enjoy eating a heavy breakfast in the morning. So I love breakfast dishes that are hearty enough for “brannier” (breakfast for dinner). This recipe is based on a recipe I found on the Pillsbury website – I just modified it a bit by adding more eggs, milk, and cheese. My kids loved it so much that they asked to take leftovers to school for lunch the next day!
Bacon Cheese Pull-aparts
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 C milk
- 1 16.3 oz can Pillsbury Grands biscuits
- 1/2 package turkey bacon, cut into small pieces and cooked until crispy
- 1 1/2 C shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 C finely chopped green onions
- salt and pepper to taste
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 11×7- or 12×8-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In large bowl, beat egg and milk, salt, and pepper with wire whisk until smooth.
Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Gently stir biscuit pieces into egg mixture to coat evenly. Fold in bacon, cheese and onions. Spoon mixture into sprayed dish; arrange biscuit pieces in single layer.
Bake at 350°F. for 23 to 28 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares.
