BBQ Chicken Wing Dip
I have been searching for a wing dip recipe for a long time, but I always find ones that use hot sauce. I do not like spicy food, so I kept looking. I really LOVE wings and knew my family would love a dip if I could figure something out.
And then it hit me, why not use barbecue sauce instead. It would keep the heat away but still have the flavor I was looking for! Best yet, I made it in my small slow cooker and it worked perfectly for a party dip as it kept it warm the whole game. Serve with your favorite dipping items!
BBQ Chicken Wing Dip
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded and chopped*
In a small crock pot {mine is 1 1/2 quarts} place all ingredients. Stir, place cover and cook on low. I stirred it every hour or so to get all the ingredients together as the cream cheese melted. It was on low for about 2 hours. Once the party began I switched it to keep warm and it was perfect.
*The first time I made this I only shredded the chicken, but it was hard to pick up with the crackers, so the next time I shredded it and then chopped it up. Much better.
