Caramel Cream Cheese Dip
My kids LOVE apples, and I love to buy them at this time of year when they’re in season and available for a great price. They’re perfectly content to eat apples straight out of the refrigerator, but sometimes I like to slice them up and serve them with a dip for something extra special. This dip is great for parties and potlucks, too. It’s quick and simple, but tastes great, and your friends will be asking you for the recipe! This dip is great with apples, brownie bites, and anything else you would normally serve with your favorite fruit dip.
Caramel Cream Cheese Dip
- 16 individually wrapped caramels (or 2/3 C caramel bits)
- 1/4 C water
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 C brown sugar
Combine the water and caramel bits in a small saucepan on the stove. Heat over medium low heat, stirring frequently, until caramel is completely melted.
In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and brown sugar. Fold in the melted caramel and serve immediately.
