The Lifestyle Fitness Program: A Six Part Plan So EVERY Mom Can Look, Feel And Live Her Best, By Debi Silber, MS, RD, WHC.
Debi just released her brand new book and I am so excited! My copy is in the mail on the way to me, but I wanted to share right away about this great new resource. She participated in an interview on the Cool Book Of The Day Blog that I encourage you to read. Here is the link: http://www.coolbookoftheday.com/lifestyle-fitness-program/ Be sure within the interview to check out her Charity/Pay It Forward program - it is really cool!
If you decide this is a book for you, you can pick it up on Amazon or order it from your local bookstore. ENJOY!

My Mother in law sent this to me, and I found it quite informative, so I thought I would share.
1. All this time you’ve just been putting Bounce in the dryer! It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.
2. Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.
3. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don’t get opened too often.
4. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
5. Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.
6. Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling.
7. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.
8. To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
9. Put a Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.
10. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
11. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside an empty luggage before storing.
12. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
13. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.
14. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.
15. Collect cat hair. Rubbing an area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
16. Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
17. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
18. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
19. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
20. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.
21. Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.

Our family tried some new veggies tonight. They are by Birdeye and are in the freezer section. They come in a bag just like regular freezer veggies (although a bit smaller) and are called Steamfresh. You pop the entire bag in the microwave (don’t even open it) and cook for 5 minutes, and viola, you have perfectly steamed veggies. They were really good and soooo easy! Definitley a product I will be buying more of.

I just tried the best thing! Yoplait “ice-cream” sandwiches. They are round and thick kind of like Skinny Cows if you have ever had those. They come in a flat cardboard box in a pack of four. The cookie part looks like a waffle cone, but is made out of cereal. Then the inside is frozen vanilla yogurt and raspberry sorbet swirled. They are DELICIOUS! (and actually not bad for you!) They are a bit spendy, so stash them away where the kids can’t find them - they’re a mommy treat! Next time you are at the store grab a box! (And no, I don’t work for yoplait. LOL)

My free soup came today! (see previous post) We had some for dinner and I must say it was VERY Good and I plan to order more. The creamy potato one was like the Bear Creek mix we used to buy at Costco (at least I think that was the brand…) It was a bit spicy for my taste (which isn’t saying much…) but it was good. I also made Chicken Noodle, and I am pretty sure that is going to become a stable at our house this winter. It has the Noodles like what come in Lipton Noodle Sides - but this is soup. It was PACKED with noodles. Generally at our house we fish out all the noodles and then have a pot of broth leftover. Well, this time, I fished out enough noodles for everyone and still had lots left in the pan! It also didn’t leave you with that “thirsty for the rest of the night” problem because it was so salty. It was packed with flavor but not so salty that you feel like you had your salt intake for a week in one serving. (Like many canned soups I’ve had). Generally in our house my four year old and I are the soup fans. But everybody gobbled this up! My four year old had seconds, and even my 23 month old tipped his bowl up and slurped the last drop. (which is saying a lot!) I made some biscuits to go along with it and we were full! I love that it comes in little packets too - less space in the pantry then those cans take, and each packet is equal to 2+ cans of soup. (although they also have single serve and bulk packets available) If you haven’t ordered your free sample yet you can do so here: www.dinewithoutwhine.com/soup (There is a small shipping charge, but it is worth it!)
Enjoy!
