Crescent Roll Calzones

This recipe is one of the most often requested lunch recipes at our house. I love it, because it’s quick, easy to make, and requires as little as 4 ingredients. We like to use pepperoni at our house, but this recipe would work with any of your favorite pizza toppings. And you can use pesto or white sauce instead of pizza sauce if you prefer – the possibilities and combinations are endless.

Crescent Roll Calzones (makes 4 calzones)

  • 1 Can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Pepperoni
  • Shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 C jarred pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
  • Garlic Powder
  • Dried Oregano
  • Dried Basil

Heat oven to 375°F. Grease or spray cookie sheet.

On cookie sheet, unroll dough and separate into 4 rectangles; press each into 7×4-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Spread 1 tablespoon sauce on. Place four slices of pepperoni on top of sauce. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese over sauce and pepperoni. Fold dough over filling; firmly press edges with fork to seal. Sprinkle the top of each calzone with garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.

    I used to make these when I was younger and they are even more fun to make now for my boyfriend. We both love them, this recipe is definitely a keeper!

    its not any more expensive to buy healthy organic pesticide fee and non gmo, why such low quality ingredients? made them though… with non gmo certified crescent rolls, organic sauce and fresh mozza. It was delish, such a great idea! thank you!
