Hi MenuMom, I just read that you are a pastor’s wife. I am in California, a 1960 graduate of Azusa Pacific University. I met my husband there. He pastored a small church in Stockton for five years after graduation. After Missionay Internship for a year, (in Lapeer, Michigan), Spanish language study for a year in San Jose, Costa Rica, we were missionaries in the Dominican Republic for 18 years and in Spain for eight. (with The Missionary Church). We retired from missionary service 15 years ago. I taught first grade in public school (in Spanish) for ten years. Then I was diagnosed with a bone marrow cancer called Multiple Myeloma, had a stem cell transplant, and am now in remission. But, I had to retire because my energy level is just low and I get tired quickly…and can’t stay on my feet allday teaching. We have two grown children (our son is in Colorado and works for Focus on the Family, and has three children, and our daughter is in Wisconsin. She is married to a doctor and home-schools her three kids.) We are blessed.
