I had my husband pick up a few things at the store today when he was out.
2 dozen eggs – $1.81 (nice change from $5.12 for 2 dozen earlier this month huh?)
Milk – $2.29
Bread – $2.99
Bagged Lettuce – $1.00 (NICE SALE!)
Baby Carrots – $1.00 (also on sale!)
Total: $9.18
That brings my total month’s grocery costs up to $18.87
Breakfast: Malt O’ Meal, Peach/Strawberry/Apple Cider Smoothies, Eggo’s for my oldest who doesn’t care for Malt O’ Meal
Lunch: Spaghetti O’s & Fruitabu’s
Dinner: Matt cooked tonight! WOOT! He made like a white gravy sauce with hamburger in it and we had it on spaghetti. We also had that salad he bought today. It was different, but pretty good.

How on earth did you get 2 dozen eggs for $1.81??
We are having a Sunday School Class brunch at my house tomorrow so I had to go to the store too. I spent about $16 but I had to buy OJ and Milk and bacon (none in freezer) and then I bought salad itens for our family and some yogurt. Not a bad expense, except for the OJ. I bought the concentrate since it was a good deal cheaper.
Not sure on the eggs – hubby went to the store. He got a package with 2 dozen in it, and that was the price. Not sure if it was on sale or not.
I know at my local small grocer, when you spend over a certain amount (like $15), you can get a dozen eggs for .49, so this is one way it could be possible to get two dozen eggs under $2 bucks.
Cheers!
p.s. nice site.
Tonight has been a hodge podge night. Daddy and I are having left overs from last night. Maveric had quesadillas, Josiah had top ramen, Savannah had ceral, Sailor had mac and cheese (stage 2 baby food.
Tomorrow I think I am going to us up the sausages I have in the fridge. We also have been doing good. I have just been buying baby food and milk.
