WOW! I just looked at my blog traffic stats – welcome to all our new readers! I didn’t realize that this challenge would be so popular! So far this month, I have had almost double the traffic (in 7 days) than I have had on average for ENTIRE months the past year. FUN!
Alright, here is today. (Sorry no food pictures) But here are some pictures of what we did do today! We had a fun snow day! (Kids got out of school at 11:30 a.m.)
Breakfast: Annika had a granola bar & yogurt, Dane had Eggo’s, Ryan & Christian had breakfast Sandwiches made with eggs, cheese, sausage & biscuits and we all had grapefruit.
Lunch: Ryan took lunch to school, but was home before he got to eat it! (So it is sitting in the fridge for tomorrow if there is school.) We had Top Ramen & Apple Slices. Annika had a Plum Organics Pear & Mango Pouch.
Dinner: This was a new one to us… One of my husband’s friends gave him a pheasant – ready to cook. So that was in the slow cooker and then we also warmed up some of the leftover chicken from last night. The pheasant wasn’t too bad – I was a bit leery. We enjoyed mixed vegetables and orange slices with it.
So that finishes up day 7 – one week, and all I spent on groceries this week was $5.12 for 2 dozen eggs! (which yes, those are expensive eggs… My husband just grabbed them at Wal-Mart when he was there – it isn’t a super Wal-Mart, so they don’t have many groceries.) Of course the grocery store right next door had them on sale this week for $.99 a dozen, but he didn’t realize that. At any rate, $5.12 for the week isn’t bad I would say! I did miss not having any bananas this week though… so I might have to get some of those next week, and probably some milk too.
C-

Only $5 is great.
I wish we had snow here in California where I live. Well, at least until I wanted it to go away, LOL!
I’m impressed. My friend Rebecca Knox is joining you in this adventure. Unfortunately, my stock of veggies and side dishes is pretty low. I have lots of meat; but, about all I have in veggies is the corn and the peppers I froze last summer! I am intrigued by the idea, however. I may just do the best I can to join you!
