I just found this site today now that your challenge is done. I am working on something similar just with my freezer. Adding in the pantry and condiments in the fridge would be a great next step for me.

I took an inventory of my freezer with dates if available (I use a FoodSaver and date each pkg) and typed it up on my laptop. Now I can "see" what I have down there. When I'm planning my meals for the week, I'm trying to use up the frozen meats. It also helps with frozen leftovers that I've put in there too. On the weekends when DH and I need a quick lunch, we can grab something like that and heat it up.

Now, when I buy something new, it gets added to my list on my laptop so nothing gets lost in the abyss of my freezer!
