Just Some Sentences

Having a good week?  I caught a summer cold… So annoying, but such is life!

It’s Vacation Bible School week here – which means our kids are fully entertained all morning – yea!  It also means we have two extra college aged boys staying with us for the week.  Our church has a college team of 4 (2 boys, 2 girls) come and help lead our VBS each year.  Lots of fun!

I got on the scale Sunday morning and freaked out!  I haven’t done that for awhile (the getting on the scale part, not the freaking out part…)  It wasn’t a pretty sight.  (20 pounds heavier than I was last year at this time) Why oh why is weight loss such a challenge?  It sure is easy to put on the pounds for me, but not so easy to keep them off!  (I am sure that is the same for a lot of us!)  The problem is I just like eating too much I think…  BUT… I am bound and determined to get to a healthy weight once and for all!  I have been routinely meeting with a personal trainer and have been consistent with exercising since the beginning of the year.  I have definitely noticed some changes in the shape of my arms and legs.  (excited to see more!)  Now I really need to put healthy eating and exercising together.  I go in phases when I’m good with one, or I’m good with the other, but it’s hard for some reason for me to be consistent with doing both at the same time!

The great news is since Sunday (so in 2 days) I have lost 5 pounds with my new routine!  I am hoping to stick with it for 2 weeks and then evaluate – so I’ll let you know!  I have been walking on my treadmill desk 2 hours a day.  I started flat and 2.3 mph.  The next day was 2.5% grade and 2.4 mph.  Today was 2.5% grade and 2.5 mph.  So today I got 5 miles in and 780 calories burned!  I have also been diligent with my Advocare products.  I am using MNS MAX3, Meal Replacement Shakes, Catalist, ThermoPlus and my FAVORITE LeptiLean (keeps you feeling full).   I have been eating every 2 1/2 – 3 hours. (keeps your metabolism going)  I have been eating Advocare Meal Replacement Shakes, Fruits, Veggies and nuts – that is it for now – no dairy, no sugar and no white flour.  It takes a bit of dedication, but I am ready for the benefits!  (And I’m feeling really good after only a couple days!)

Sergiy comes in NINE Days!  We’ll start really thinking about that next week I guess – after VBS is over!
