Please meet Igor, a 14 year old orphan from Ukraine. Isn’t he cute? We are planning to host him in our home from Mid-December to Mid-January. We look forward to blessing him with family love during the Christmas season.
Once again, we are stepping out in faith… we put down the $550 deposit for him, but now we need to raise the following:
| 1st Payment | $550 per child | Due within 72 hours of placing a child on hold – Taken Care Of |
| 2nd Payment | $600 per child | Oct 1st – As in EIGHT DAYS from Now… |
| 3rd Payment | $600 per child | Oct 15th |
| 4th Payment | $600 per child | Nov 1st |
| Final Payment | $600 per child * | Nov 15th |

As many of you know, we hosted an orphan this past summer. (If you want to read about that - I have those posts password protected, so you will have to contact me for the PW. I did that because he is in the process of adoption, and I do not want anything I blogged to interfere with that. You can click the Orphan Hosting Tab at the top once you have the PW) That experience completely changed our lives, and his life as well! (He has a family moving towards adoption of him now! This is something that most likely would not have happened without a family hosting him and advocating for him. The same is true for many of the kids who came this summer!)
We really debated about hosting again so soon, but we feel that orphan ministry is something God has put on our hearts, and something we can not ignore.
Igor’s description says: “Igor is an amazing young man! We predict greatness in his future! He was very socialable, and expressive while speaking with us. We didn’t even need to interview him, as he just introduced himself and talked to us for a while. He told us how he loves his Bible that he got from summer camp, and reads it every day. When we asked him who his best friend was, he said Jesus! He then told us that Jesus has given him a purpose in his life, and he prays everyday. He likes to think “outside the box”, and wants to be a good public speaker. He plays soccer, and likes to do handcrafts. Someday he wants to be a politician, or a journalist. We say he will achieve greatness in whatever he chooses!”
We know many of you helped us financially this summer, and for that we are so grateful! Hosting an oprhan is not at all cheap – It is $2850 to get him here, and then there are clothes, food, required medical trips (eye Dr. and dentist) entertainment etc. Last time God proved to us that many hands make the burden light, and that we can trust in Him to provide. Your donation does not need to be large – the small donations mean just as much to us as the big ones! Please just do what you can. Through each one of you, Igor will be completely blessed!

Some are called to host or adopt, some are called to contribute financially, some are called to pray. We are all called to do something! We have an amazing opportunity to make a difference in this child’s life.

Christine,
Thank you for posting your hosting journey. It has made me consider hosting when my girls are a little older. While you were hosting Sergiy I started reading your posts. Then I went back and searched and read all of your posts from the beginning concerning your experience.
Thank you for share the good, not so good, and the cultural differences. I enjoyed reading about it and made me what to make a difference also.
I look forward to reading Igor’s journey with you and your family.
THANKS! Can’t wait to share!
I love your heart. Will be glad to help again.
Just let me know as you get further along. I just dumped my Paypal account.
Hugs and I hope you have a wonderful hosting experience!

Thanks Nicole! You have already done so much for us, we would not ask for more! We just can’t ignore the need… once you are educated, and are able, it is hard to turn the other way… be it through hosting/adoption, prayer or financial giving – I think we will always be involved!
