Welcome to our Summer 2012 “Available Child Photolisting”!

New Horizons for Children is a 10 year orphan hosting ministry bringing children from both Ukraine and Latvia to visit with Christian families in the USA for 5 weeks in the summer and 4.5 weeks over Christmas. During this time, the goals are to share the love of Christ through interaction with a loving family and modeling Him in our homes. Children also become immersed in English, and many of them learn as much after a 5 week hosting program as a child who studied English in their home land for 5 years in school. Other goals are to build their self esteem, instill a sense of pride and self worth. However a natural by-product of spending time with a child who is also an orphan many times leads that child to an adopting family.

While we are NOT an adoption agency, we do advocate for the children who come on the program and who are deemed eligible for adoption as well. These children have …been offered to our program and their orphanages, caregivers and others have explained that these children are either supposed to be available for adoption or are in process of being cleared for adoption. However, only a licensed adoption agency that works with these specific children would be able to confirm that 100%.

The children listed below are here in the USA now, until August 2, and their hosting families are not adopting, but feel their child would benefit if an adopting family were found. If you are interested to know more about a child or children, first, you must complete our “Visiting Family” application unless you are already an active and approved host family for our program.

Once the Visiting Family application is completed, you will be able to contact the host family and speak with them directly to learn more about the child. Since we are strictly a hosting program, we do not speak to any child during the program about possible adoption. Therefore, none of the children are even aware that a list such as this exists or that their host family would be speaking to others about possibly adopting them. However, they are orphans, and a forever family is something each of them also needs, should God make that available! Many of these children will also be available for hosting over the Christmas hosting program.
