Orange Creme Smoothie Recipe
Summer brings out our magic bullet blender often for smoothies and shakes to cool the hot children down at our house. This orange smoothie recipe is easy to put together and uses up those bananas that get ripe quickly in the heat {we do not have air conditioning so it happens fast at my house – remember you can freeze those bananas to use too!}.
The combination of the orange juice, yogurt and banana is not only refreshing but brings back my memories of Orange Creme Popsicles. The recipe does call for a sweetener to be added, but it really isn’t necessary. I’ll leave it in the list for you to decide!
Orange Creme Smoothie
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
- 4 tsp. sugar or honey
- 1 banana, sliced
Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor. Serve immediately.
Notes: You can add 4-6 ice cubes to the mix to make it slushy. I double this and it serves my four children and myself, as is, the original recipe says it serves 2, but those would be large servings.
