“Secret Recipe” Cornbread

If you’ve been looking for a cornbread recipe that tastes like restaurant style cornbread, then this is the recipe for you. Serve this cornbread at your next gathering, and everyone will be asking you for the recipe. It’s your choice whether or not to share the secret. ;) Serve this cornbread warm with honey butter melted over the top for an extra special treat!

“Secret Recipe” Cornbread

  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 2 Boxes Jiffy Cornbread mix
  • Eggs, milk, oil, and water per package directions on cake mix and cornbread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9X13 cake pan.

Prepare the cake mix and cornbread mix per package directions in two separate bowls. Allow the cornbread mixture to sit for 3-5 minutes. Fold the cake mixture into the cornbread mixture, and pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes until cornbread is set in the center and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Thanks so much for all you do to give us the best. I really will enjoy this recipe for I have been looking for one like this for some time. I wonder if it is the copycat of the cornbread that Florida Walmart stores sold? It is super delicious and melts in your mouth. Again thanks for all the recipes and nice articles that lift our hearts and minds. Love ya! PeppaKid
